One

"6But from the beginning of creation God made them male and female.7For this reason a man shall leave [behind] his father and his mother d]">and be joined to his wife and cleave closely to her permanently, 8And the two shall become one flesh, so that they are no longer two, but one flesh.9What therefore God has united (joined together), let not man separate or divide" (Mark 10, Amplified Bible).

Back in elementary school we used to do the three legged race. I feel like in marriage I'm running a three legged race! There must be unity to have success.

I am learning some things, ever so slowly :) in marriage. I am learning to trust, yield and adapt. I love the Amplified translation because it goes into detail. Ephesians 5 says ,"Wives, be subject (be submissive and adapt yourselves) to your own husbands as [a service] to the Lord.23For the husband is head of the wife as Christ is the Head of the church, Himself the Savior of [His] body.24As the church is subject to Christ, so let wives also be subject in everything to their husbands.25Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her..."

If a husband loves his wife (v.23) it is easy for her to trust and adapt. In the major and minor decisions of life it is so important to work together as a team, but every team must have a leader. Take that principle to the bank, take it to your church, and take it to your marriage. I am very blessed to have a godly husband who makes life simpler for me. When picking your marriage partner make sure it is someone that will make a good team mate!
